“Within non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma there are at least 30 different types. These different lymphomas are separate with respect to their prognosis and treatment. So that is probably the biggest and most important thing for patients to know—which specific type they have.” — John P. Leonard, MD, Hematologist
“There was never any question that I would be an active participant in my husband Rick’s treatment and recovery. We knew we would deal with this as a family. I made plans to attend every doctor appointment and to be present for any future medical tests Rick would have. Each family must find their own path. But you should know that those of us who have gone before are cheering you on. Stay informed, take charge of your medical information, ask questions, and stay hopeful.” —Sue, caregiver
