Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis Symptoms
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic disease that occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's joints. This attack causes inflammation in the joints and results in the pain, symptoms, and joint damage of RA.

From Moderate to Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis
As RA progresses, inflammation can cause joints to become more swollen and tender, and it can weaken the surrounding bone and cartilage. In fact, people who develop moderate-to-severe RA may experience more intense pain and symptoms, further joint damage, and even loss of movement and disability.
Beyond its physical impact, moderate-to-severe RA can affect your life on many other levels. It can prevent you from taking that road trip you've been planning or from visiting with family and friends. It can even prevent you from making it through your day-to-day routine.
