More people have chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) than any other type of leukemia.
In the United States, about 120,000 people are living with CLL. And more than 15,000 new cases are expected each year.
There is no cure for CLL. But it can be treated.
When you don't have symptoms, your doctor may decide it's best to just keep an eye on your health. This is called watch and wait. When symptoms appear, worsen, or reappear, treatment aims to stop the CLL from progressing.
